Long-term residency programs — Malaysia and Thailand

Canadian immigration — status built for long-term residence

A route of a different nature: status is not acquired through investment but earned over time through business, family ties or ancestry. Every case is handled together with a licensed Canadian immigration consultant (RCIC) or a Canadian lawyer.

  • BC PNP Entrepreneur: net worth from CAD 300,000 and investment from CAD 100,000; the applicant must actively manage the business
  • Citizenship by descent: following the 2025 reform, claims may be made through a grandparent or even a great-grandparent — confirmation of existing status rather than an immigration application
  • IEC youth mobility: citizens aged 18–35 of partner countries (including Korea, Japan and Taiwan); work permit of up to 24 months
  • Spousal sponsorship: permanent residence with no investment required; applications may be filed inland or outland

International degrees — the education component of a mobility plan

Not an immigration program in itself: a one-year online master's degree from an accredited US university which, once assessed by a designated body such as WES, supports points-based applications and career progression.

  • MBA, AI or Psychology — one year, delivered online, taught primarily in Chinese, compatible with full-time employment
  • Admission by application with no entrance examination; the degree certificate is identical to that issued to on-campus graduates
  • Apostille, WES and NSC verification available; online degrees fall outside the scope of China's CSCSE verification (stated clearly on the page)
  • Following an ECA, may increase the education score under Canadian points systems and Japan's Highly Skilled Professional scheme (subject to current policy)
Tuition from US$7,040

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions clients ask first; each program page has a more detailed FAQ.

What does Pacific Link do, and is it a government body?

Pacific Link is an independent investment-migration advisory group with offices in Vancouver, Canberra and Hong Kong. We advise on official citizenship-by-investment programs (Vanuatu, Nauru/Naoero, São Tomé and Príncipe, Guinea-Bissau), Sierra Leone's GO-FOR-GOLD special naturalisation route, long-term residency (Malaysia MM2H, Thailand Privilege Card, Thailand LTR visa) and Canadian immigration handled with licensed RCICs or Canadian lawyers. We are not a government body and do not issue passports or visas; applications are decided by the relevant authorities.

Which citizenship-by-investment program is the fastest or the least expensive?

Among the programs we advise on, Guinea-Bissau (service package from US$50,000, about 1–2 months) and Vanuatu DSP (contribution US$130,000 for a single applicant, about 2 months) are the fastest; Nauru ECRCP starts at a US$90,000 contribution (Iruwa pricing until 31 December 2026, standard US$115,000) with 3–4 months of vetting; São Tomé and Príncipe single-applicant official fees total US$95,750. The right choice depends on your current passport, family size and travel needs, which we assess free of charge.

Are these programs legal, and is Pacific Link licensed?

Every program we advise on is established by the respective government or confirmed by its competent authorities, and each program page states its legal basis plainly: the Vanuatu, Nauru and São Tomé and Príncipe programs are established by legislation and administered by government bodies, while Sierra Leone's GO-FOR-GOLD is a special naturalisation arrangement announced by the Immigration Department whose dedicated regulation is still pending. Pacific Link Consulting Pty Ltd appears on the Government of Nauru's official register of licensed ECRCP agents, is a licensed Marketing Agent for the São Tomé and Príncipe program and is listed among the Official Partners published by the GO-FOR-GOLD master agent; Vanuatu applications are filed through a licensed partner in Port Vila. Canadian matters are handled with a licensed RCIC or Canadian lawyer, as section 91 of IRPA requires.

Do I need to travel to or live in the country?

No. The Vanuatu, Nauru, São Tomé and Príncipe, Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone citizenship programs have no residency or landing requirement and are processed remotely; Vanuatu biometric enrolment can be completed in the UAE, Hong Kong or Vanuatu. The residency programs (Malaysia MM2H, Thailand Privilege Card, Thailand LTR visa) involve only light presence rules, explained on each program page.

How are fees structured, and when do I pay?

Each program page lists the official government fees. Pacific Link's own service fee is quoted separately in writing before any engagement. For Vanuatu, Nauru and São Tomé and Príncipe the contribution or donation is paid only after approval in principle, with application and due-diligence fees paid at filing; Canadian government fees follow IRCC's current schedule and are quoted after a free assessment. For Sierra Leone, no government fee schedule has been published; its page shows the program fees published by the master agent.

How long does the whole process take?

Indicatively: Vanuatu citizenship about 2 months and Vanuatu PR about 10 business days; Guinea-Bissau 1–2 months; Nauru 3–4 months; Sierra Leone usually 30–60 days to the approval letter and 60–90 days to the passport (program figures); the Thailand LTR visa about 20 working days after a complete submission. Timelines for the Thailand Privilege Card, Malaysia MM2H and the Canadian pathways depend on the tier or stream and are confirmed in the written quotation. All timelines are subject to official processing.
