Where a Vanuatu passport takes you

90+ visa-free & visa-on-arrival

About Europe & the UK (please note)

Since late 2024 the EU has suspended visa-free Schengen access for Vanuatu passports; travel to the Schengen Area and the UK currently requires a visa. We disclose this honestly and never over-promise.

Note: Visa policies change over time and counts are indicative. Always check the destination's latest official requirements before travel — we keep clients updated.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Do I need to visit Vanuatu to get citizenship?

No. The application itself is fully remote, with no residency requirement afterwards. Only biometric enrollment is required before passport issuance — and it can be done in Hong Kong or via an on-site government visit, so a trip to Vanuatu is not necessary (see the next question).

Do I need to enroll biometrics? Where?

Yes — biometric enrollment is required before the passport is issued. There are currently three options: (1) enroll in Vanuatu; (2) enroll at the Vanuatu Consulate-General in Hong Kong; (3) a government officer travels to a location designated by the client for on-site enrollment (travel and related costs quoted separately). We arrange whichever suits you best.

Can I keep my current nationality?

Vanuatu allows dual citizenship. Whether you can retain your existing nationality depends on your home country's laws — please confirm in advance.

Can my family be included?

Yes. Spouse, children aged 25 or under, and the main applicant's parents can be included; children over 25 must apply separately. Fees add per person — see the fee table and calculator above.

Is the Vanuatu passport still visa-free to Europe?

Currently no. The EU suspended Schengen visa-free access in late 2024, so a visa is required for Europe. We always share the latest mobility status honestly.
