The Economic and Climate Resilience Citizenship Program (ECRCP), established by the Government of Nauru, grants citizenship to applicants who make a contribution to sustainable national development. Processing takes approximately 3–4 months, there is no residency requirement, and it is one of the newer citizenship options in the Pacific.
The applicant makes a one-time contribution to the national fund and pays the application and due-diligence fees. The table below is indicative; the formal quotation confirms the total.

Official fees for a single application total approximately $102,700 (application fee $5,000, due diligence $6,000, bank due diligence $1,200, contribution $90,000, passport fee $500). Our service fee is quoted separately; translation, notarisation and courier costs are charged separately.
Established and administered by the Government of Nauru (ecrcp.gov.nr).
Completed in approximately 3–4 months, with no visit to Nauru required.
Spouse, dependent children, parents and grandparents, and siblings (for an additional fee). Passports are valid for 10 years for adults and 5 years for children, and can be renewed without a Nauru address.
Only the application and vetting fees are paid on engagement; the contribution and passport fees are paid after approval in principle.
An instant estimate based on the table above (Iruwa limited-time pricing). Indicative only; the formal quotation prevails.
The estimate assumes siblings are aged 16 or over and excludes translation, notarisation, courier and other third-party costs.
There are five rounds of vetting in total: our preliminary screening followed by four official tiers. The contribution becomes payable only after approval in principle.
Stage-one fees are paid (application, due diligence, bank due diligence and our service fee) while documents are collected.
We screen the file first so that it withstands official review, then submit it online to the Program Office.
An online interview may be arranged; it is often waived when the file is complete.
After the first two tiers, the original documents are couriered to Nauru for the final tiers and Cabinet review.
Stage-two fees are paid: the contribution and the passport fee.
The citizenship certificate and passport are issued.
Optional follow-on services that make the new status usable in practice: tax file number, proof of address and more, arranged remotely.

Includes the UAE, Russia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Ireland (counting visa-on-arrival, e-visa and electronic travel authorisation); one of the more practical passports in the Pacific region.
A Schengen visa is required for the Schengen Area; since 9 December 2025 Nauru passport holders also require a visa for the United Kingdom; and a visa is required for Australia. We describe the actual mobility position to clients accurately.
Not at present.
Nauru has no residency-by-investment product; its only investment route is ECRCP citizenship. Ordinary permanent residence requires roughly two years of actual residence on a work or business permit and is not obtained through investment.
Where the primary objective is residency first, we generally recommend Vanuatu permanent residency; where the objective is citizenship and a passport directly, Nauru's ECRCP is an efficient choice.
Direct citizenship in approximately 3–4 months.
All-inclusive from $8,000, approved in as little as 5–7 working days.

The fees and rules on this page are based on the following official publications. Where they differ, the official source prevails; we re-check them at every update (last reviewed 2026-10-06).
No. Eligibility, fees and procedures are unaffected; the change concerns the country's name, not the program. It is the same country, the same government and the same passport, with only the displayed name changing. Newly issued documents carry the new name, while passports and certificates already issued under the name Nauru remain valid and need not be replaced on account of the name alone. The Program Office continues to use "Nauru" on its website and in the program's formal name (ECRCP). We will inform clients as soon as any official guidance on documents is published.
Originally due to end on 30 June 2026, the limited-time pricing has been officially extended to 31 December 2026, after which the contribution reverts to the standard $115,000. Prospective applicants are advised to complete their assessment early.
No. The ECRCP has no residency or landing requirement and is processed entirely remotely.
No. A visa is required for the Schengen Area; since 9 December 2025 a visa is also required for the United Kingdom; and a visa is required for Australia. We report the current mobility position accurately.
Spouse, children aged 30 or under, parents and grandparents aged 55 and over, and siblings (an additional contribution of $15,000 each). Official rules prevail.
An online interview may be scheduled during official tiers 1–2; with a complete and well-prepared file it is sometimes waived. No travel to Nauru is required in either case.
Withdrawal before preliminary screening begins: full refund. After screening but before formal filing: $1,000 per applicant is retained and the balance refunded. After formal filing: the service fee is non-refundable. No refund is made where the application fails vetting because material facts (such as a criminal record) were concealed.
The requirements mirror other compliant citizenship-by-investment programs: a valid passport, birth and marriage certificates, police clearance, evidence of source of funds, compliant photographs and a health declaration; non-English documents must be translated and notarised. After official tiers 1–2, the full set of originals is couriered to Nauru. We provide an itemised checklist and templates and pre-screen the file before filing.
The limited-time period is finite. Leave your details for a free eligibility assessment and a complete cost breakdown.
